Rattlesnake manna grass is an attractive grass of marshes, fens, wetland margins, and in open water at the edge of peatlands. It grows in muck, wet sand or silt, or peat. Avoid crowding by other plants. It is especially attractive when in flower, with numerous dangling florets.
